stuart haygarth : twice a spectacle

I was amazed when I saw these chandeliers by UK-based designer, Stuart Haygarth. These gorgeous fixtures are made of upcycled old prescription eyeglasses. This large one (called Spectacle) directly below is made from over a thousand pairs. For someone who has worn and accumulated numerous pairs starting at age of thirteen, I really appreciate the history that must be behind each pair used to create this. They are stunning.

a living room mini-makeover?

If I could give my living room a makeover, I would add the pieces above. I discovered Bond & Bowery when I was exploring the Mid-Century Modernist. The coffee table would have been perfect. It's got that tropical modern flavour that I want (it's already sold!). That lamp above is called a Rumba M46, I've been wanting it for years. One of these days, it will happen. Currently, this is what my living room looks like. I wouldn't mind lightening things up a bit. What do you think?

inspired workspace : 7GODS

I love the idea of taking part with not only branding and identity design for a product or service, but also the architecture and interior design of the related spaces. 7GODS in the UK does exactly this. I absolutely love their work and I adore the design of their workspace, Unit 22. The gorgeous lighting collection is nicely displayed in their sexy, all-white studio.
