I spotted the work of She Hit Pause Studios (photographer Matt Schwartz) at the Brooklyn Flea in Dumbo this past weekend. And, well, I had to pause. It's been years since I've seen anyone do anything interesting with Polaroid transfers. I was particularly drawn to the muted sexiness of these photos. They are understated, playful and timeless. The transferring of the images on watercolor paper give it that much more softness. The surfer girl is my favourite. Which one is yours?
